Day 1 Monday

Arrive in Broken Hill

You will be met by your Host from Silver City Tours and escorted to accommodation.

 

Day 2 Tuesday (LB, D)

City Sights, Heritage Tour and Sunset Sculptures Symposium 

Take a step back in time and explore Australia's First Heritage Listed City on our Heritage Tour, showcasing Broken Hill's rich history. We’ll visit the Miner’s Memorial, located at the highest point of the Line of Lode. From there, you’ll be able to see the city’s unique architecture. After that, we’ll take a break before heading to the famous Sculpture Symposium to watch the sunset.

 

Day 3 Wednesday (LB, L, D)

Menindee & Kinchega National Park

Journey to the historic Darling River town of Menindee. Enjoy morning tea at Copi Hollow, lunch at the historic Maiden's Hotel, discover the legacy of Burke & Wills, and experience the majestic river red gums and vast outback landscapes of Kinchega National Park (weather and road conditions permitting).

 

Day 4 Thursday (LB, D)

Silverton Ghost Town, Taste of the Artback.

After breakfast, we'll head off to Australia's liveliest ghost town. This is a must-see destination for any movie buff or history lover. You'll be able to explore craft centres, galleries, and museums, as well as the iconic Silverton Hotel, with time for a bite to eat (own expense). In the afternoon, we'll take a tour of some of the local art galleries. Broken Hill is famous for its vibrant art scene, and you'll be able to see firsthand what all the fuss is about. You'll be blown away by the talent and creativity on display here.

 

Day 5 Friday (LB, D)

Royal Flying Doctor Service, Broken HIll Mining Museum & Palace Hotel

We start our day with a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Service, where we'll learn about the important work they do in providing medical care to remote communities. Then it's on to the Broken Hill Mining Museum as we explore the incredible collection of mineral art, mining memorabilia, and doll displays at this much-loved museum. Discover how mining shaped the Silver City—past and present. We'll finish up with a meal at the iconic Palace Hotel, made famous by the film Priscilla, Queen of the Desert and for those who are feeling lucky, you will have the chance to try your luck at a game of two-up Broken Hill is the only place where you can play two-up legally on a regular basis. So, join the locals and come in spinner!!

 

Day 6 Saturday (LB)

You will be transferred for your departure.
